Appliance Removal and Disposal in Stockport

Fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers collected, recycled and disposed of legally across Stockport.

Vanquish Waste Removal & Recycling serving Stockport and surrounding areas

Old appliances are heavy, awkward and legally awkward too. You cannot leave a fridge on the kerb, you cannot put a washing machine in the general household bin, and fridges and freezers in particular fall under WEEE rules (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) because of the refrigerant gases they contain. That means they need to go through a licensed carrier and end up at a specialist recycling site.

Vanquish Waste handles appliance removal and disposal every day across Stockport, and it is one of the calls we get most often through WhatsApp. The typical caller has a new appliance being delivered the next morning and needs the old one gone today. We are usually able to slot those in same day or next day thanks to the Stockport based fleet.

Appliances we collect

Fridges, freezers, American style fridge freezers, chest freezers, wine coolers, washing machines, tumble dryers, washer dryers, dishwashers, ovens, hobs, range cookers, microwaves, extractor hoods, boilers, immersion tanks and small kitchen appliances like kettles, toasters, coffee machines and food mixers. Full kitchen strip outs are also handled as a single job.

Where we work across Stockport

Stockport town centre, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Heaton Moor, Heaton Chapel, Heaton Mersey, Reddish, Marple, Marple Bridge, Romiley, Bredbury, Hazel Grove, Offerton, Davenport and Edgeley are all covered on a daily basis. The whole SK1 to SK8 area sits inside our normal service radius.

Access, lifting and floor protection

The two person team lifts the appliance out of the kitchen, utility room, garage or wherever it is sitting, so you are not left dragging a fridge freezer through the hallway on your own. We bring trolleys, straps and floor protection, and we work around tight staircases and awkward doorways as a matter of course. Stockport has plenty of Victorian terraces and 1930s semis with narrow kitchens, and we are used to them.

For upper floor flats and apartments around the town centre we plan the lift carefully, check the stair widths on the photo you send, and bring the right kit so nothing gets scuffed on the way out.

What happens after collection

Once loaded, appliances are taken to a licensed WEEE recycling facility. Refrigerants and oils are extracted safely under Environment Agency rules, and the metals, plastics, glass and components are separated so most of each unit ends up back in the supply chain instead of in the ground. You get a Waste Transfer Note for your records, which matters if you are a landlord, a letting agent or a housing association.

Pricing and how to book

Every appliance job is quoted individually rather than off a fixed price list, because access, floor level, whether the unit is disconnected and whether other items are going at the same time all change the number. Send a photo of the appliance and the route out of the property on WhatsApp and we come back with a fixed price for your specific job. Multiple appliances or full kitchen strip outs are quoted as one load and usually work out much better value per item than single collections.

WhatsApp a photo of the appliance and the access route on 07563 865159 for a same day quote. We usually reply within minutes during working hours, and we can hold a slot for you as soon as you confirm the price.
