Flat and apartment clearance across Manchester

City centre blocks, converted terraces and walk-up flats with a staircase that turns twice. We clear apartments where a skip could never go, working round lifts, bays and bin stores.

Why apartments need a van, not a skip

You can't put a skip outside a block on Deansgate, and you wouldn't get a permit if you tried. Apartment waste has to be walked out, through corridors, into a lift, across a lobby and into a van parked in a bay with twenty minutes on it. That's a labour job, not a container job.

Older conversions around Chorlton, Withington and Whalley Range bring the opposite problem: no lift at all, narrow stairs and a landing that a two-seater refuses to turn on. We dismantle where we need to and protect the stairwell so the managing agent has nothing to complain about.

Whether it's a tenant moving on, a flat going on the market, or a family sorting out a relative's place, the outcome is the same. Empty, swept, disposed of legally. Send photos on WhatsApp and we'll price the job properly first time.

Apartment clearances are an access job first

In a house, the clearance is about volume. In a flat, it's about the route. Fobbed entrances, a single goods lift shared with everyone else's deliveries, loading bays with time limits, concierge sign-in, and a bin store that's already full before you add anything.

So we plan around the building rather than the pile. Where a block needs the lift booking, we'll ask you to arrange it or speak to the concierge ourselves. Where the bay is twenty minutes, we stage everything at ground level first and load in one go instead of blocking it for an hour.

That planning is the difference between a clearance finishing in ninety minutes and a crew stuck in a lobby. Tell us the block, the floor and the parking situation when you message and we'll do the thinking before we arrive.

Ancoats, the Green Quarter, Salford Quays and the city centre

New build blocks around Ancoats, New Islington and the Green Quarter are our most common flat clearances, usually when someone moves out of a rental or sells a one bed they've furnished from scratch. It's rarely huge: a bed, a sofa, a desk, a few boxes and a bike that hasn't moved in a year.

Older conversions in Didsbury, Withington and Chorlton bring the opposite problem. Less lift, more staircase, and often a communal hall where you can't leave anything even for five minutes.

Either way you're paying for the space the load takes in the van and the time the access adds, not a fixed box you might half fill. Send a photo of each room and mention the floor, and you'll get one fixed price back, usually within the hour.
